Draft 2:
The dark brown cigar smoke that circulated around you, always meant trouble
But I always loved you all the same
You were as cool as a winter breeze
But you were never afraid to shout, “Shut up!”
I looked up to you as a hero when you use to,
protect me from anything that put me in harms way
I remember falling asleep cuddled in you cologne drenched t-shirt
And I felt so at peace with myself
But you’re gone now and it’s all your fault
I think sometimes I regret ever meeting you
Can you tell me what you where thinking,
Seconds before the bullet reached your head,
Strictly from your own hand.
Did it hurt?
Was it cold?
Or did it just simply all go black?
But I don’t care
You didn’t think about me before you did it
So why should I sit here and write about you
I feel so unsafe and vulnerable but it doesn’t matter now
Maybe it never did.
OBAMA WOOOHOOOOO !!! HISTORY WAS MADE! CHANGE WILL COME
History Was Made.
History was made.
The United States of America has a new president.
This man is very different from every other president.
Not your ordinary face.
Not your ordinary race.
History was made,
on November 4, 2008.
For the first time in history,
a African American man is elected president of the U.S.
History was made.
Yes we can, be anything you want to be.
Change will come to the United States.
Once again, change will come to the United States.
History was made.
The now former Senator of Illinois.
The man that was known as the skinny black guy that plays basketball.
The man that nobody expected four years ago to be president,
has won the election.
History was made.
This man is Barack Obama.
History was made.
